God will do what He has promised you

He is not a man that He should lie.

God will do what He has promised you

This is not an article like I normally write. It’s more of a word of encouragement. I don’t know who needs to hear this but God will fulfill the promises He made to you. I mean you as an individual. I know it doesn’t seem like it right now because of your circumstances but you need to believe that He will do what He said He will do. My circumstances are far from what God has promised me but lately more than ever the Lord has been saying to believe Him and not circumstances. He’s been saying He will do it. If you needed to hear this then believe me when I tell you that He really will do it. No matter how unlikely it seems right now. Even as I write this God is working behind the scenes for you to receive what He promised you.

Your belief without evidence is necessary to allow God to act when the time comes. We have to believe God is a good and faithful Father who does not make promises He does not keep.

Believe God because:

“The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises
and faithful in all he does.” Psalm 145:13b NIV.

“And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she considered him faithful who had made the promise.” Hebrews 11:11 NIV.

“So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.” Hebrews 10:35-36 NIV.

Most importantly:

“God is not human, that he should lie,
not a human being, that he should change his mind.
Does he speak and then not act?
Does he promise and not fulfill?” Numbers 23:19 NIV.

My prayer for you in this your time of waiting is:

“May the Lord, the God of your ancestors, increase you a thousand times and bless you as he has promised!” Deuteronomy 1:11 NIV.

“Yes indeed, it won’t be long now.” God’s Decree.

“Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won’t be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once—and everywhere you look, blessings! Blessings like wine pouring off the mountains and hills. I’ll make everything right again for my people Israel:

    “They’ll rebuild their ruined cities.
They’ll plant vineyards and drink good wine.
They’ll work their gardens and eat fresh vegetables.
And I’ll plant them, plant them on their own land.
They’ll never again be uprooted from the land I’ve given them.”

God, your God, says so. Amos 9:13-15 MSG.
